DontRentFrom is a place to warn others about problem rentals. Whether the landlord tried to kill you by refusing to remove that dead tree looming over the house, or the management of the apartment complex just can't seem to fix anything, let us know! You can tell the world about good experiences, too, of course, and feel free to tell us about things that happened to a friend, or even talk about something you saw in the news! If you'd like to tell us what we're missing or doing wrong, you can do that in our feedback forum.

tips on using DontRentFrom

• When you're writing something here, you can use Markdown syntax, except that you can't put in raw HTML
• Cringing when you read what you said last night when you were drunk? Just disavow your comment, using the link right on it!
• But be careful, because once disavowed, you can't reclaim it
• When you add the location, you can put in a city, a zip code, or a full address. These all work:
  • Atlanta, GA
  • 11212
  • 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043
• You can also use any of those formats in the search form, and DontRentFrom will search for listings near there even if the lister didn't put it in the same way
• Don't lose your password (we don't know what it is, and can't send you a new one anyway, because we don't know your email address).
• The summary of your post or report is the first 200 characters you type, or ends wherever you press return in that first 200 characters.
