Just wanted to let everyone know to beware of Sherry Taylor. Which I found out she goes by Elaine. Well to start when we moved into our duplex we were going through a property man comp. At the time of our signing the lease we were told she wanted a 13 month lease. We only wanted a year, we had already put down all deposits and had all the utilties turned on. The property man guy called me 2 days later and said she wouldnt sign the lease unless it was for the 13. Okay whatever we told him that was fine. But only living 1 day, I get the pleasure of meeting the landlord, she had dropped the management people so now i have to deal with her. She came over and was telling me stuff I couldnt do( which it said we could in our contract) and then had the nerve to tell me she wanted to only a year contract and wanted me to resign it. I knew then we were going to have problems with this lady. A few days goes by and I noticed that our water sprinkler system is working correctly. the water is going to the street. A couple of weeks goes by and we have a few words over the water. My grass at this point is dying and she comes and sets the sprinkler system the WAY she wants ( a bill that is my responsiblity) and puts a lock on it. I called her and told her I wanted a key. I paid for the water and it doesnt state anywhere in our contract how many times a week i have to water. She said it was the way she liked it and that was it. I did tell her, that we are the ones who live here and its not what she likes. So we are on water restriction and can only water 2x a week. She almost gets me fined by the city. Now she wants me to sign something that I am fully responsible for the yard. And I refuse to sign it. The water sprinkler doesnt work properly, the yard is uneven with holes it. She is driving me and the other tenant crazy. She is nosey always in your business and tell you how she wants your house and yard to be. I want a nice yard to. And I will do what i can to make it that way. But she is just over bearing. I have had about 7 runs in with her over this house and yard and we have only lived here 3 months. there have been many tenants move out because of her, which i just found out from people who have lived here for years. She talks to you like you are stupid. She has her son come and cut the bushes in front of the house, which are not done correctly. they are uneven and look ugly, but you have no say in that. but she wants you to be responsible for everything else. she does what she wants when it comes to this property and talks down to everyone. the addresses are 3047 pinevalley and 3049 pinevalley. so renters beware. i have more problems with her but too much to go into any more details.
